For 3G settings HALO and SYMPATHY, type 3G and send it via SMS to 3636. Wait for confirmation that your number has been active for 3G services. Active service is shown with the 3G indicator on your mobile phone. 3G can be used if phone is on the 3G service area and get the 3G signal. For Handset settings: select Network> Connection> Enable 3G and GSM

For GPRS Settings HALO send SMS: type GPRS to 6616. For SYMPATHY card, type by SMS: GPRS <space> <card number> and send to 6616.
The card number is a sixteen-digit number, there is a card behind the SIM Card in the format of four numbers. For example GPRS 6210009922012345. You will receive a reply SMS about further steps.

For MMS settings HALO send by SMS: MMS to 6616. SYMPATHY card, send by SMS: MMS <space> sixteen digit number. For example MMS 6210009922012345 to 6616. Within a maximum of 48 hours you have activated MMS.
Then apply phone setting in two ways, that is automatic and manual settings. Automatic setting usually reserved for brand Nokia and Sony Ericsson. Automatic settings done by SMS by typing S <space> Brand <space> Type. For example, S Ericsson T610, and send to 5432 for Sony Ericsson T610 series.

Setting the 3G, GPRS, MMS, WAP for Excelcomindo (proXL)

To activate the the 3G, Sim Card which has memory less than 128 should replace HSPDA XL card, by visiting the XL Center and the usual it cost 20,000.

For setting, type GPRS <space> brand <space> type. For example GPRSMotorola C330 and SMS send to 9667.
Whereas MMS setting is done by sending SMS like: MMS <space> brand <space> type. For example, MMS Motorola C330 and send to 9667. You will receive an answer "GPRS Settings Received", the display message and will be displayed: Name: XL GPRS, homepage: http://wap.lifeinhand.com.

Setting GPRS, MMS, WAP for IM-3 (Smart & Bright)

Setting GPRS, MMS, WAP for IM-3 (now Indosat) can be be done via its website in www.m3-access.com by clicking the Settings menu M3-GPRS. But, before you must register first.
Settings can also be be done via SMS by typing GPRS <space> brand <space> type. For example, GPRS nokia 3650 and send to 3939. So do the same for MMS setting.

GPRS services only provided to Matrix customers. Whereas MMS service is applicable both for Mentari and customers.
To activate GPRS, send a message containing the ACT <space> GPRS, for example ACT GPRS to 888. As for MMS activation, type ACT <space> MMS, for example ACT MMS and send to 888.
Next you will receive a reply SMS stating "You have to activate MMS & GPRS - Make sure your phone setting are correct. GPRS service fee: Rp. 25 thousand / month. Detailed info call Customer Care at 5438 8888/222 from phone. "
The next step is to apply the settings for GPRS and MMS. Settings can be done automatically via SMS. for GPRS, type "GPRS <space> brand <space> type". For example, GPRS NOKIA 7650 and send to 3000.
As for MMS settings, type "MMS <space> brand <space> type". For example MMS NOKIA 7650 and send to 3000.
